English as a Second Language

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is for people who do not speak English as their first language and want to learn English to get a job, get a better job, go to college or career training program, and/or become United States Citizens.

ESL classes are at the Twin Rivers Adult School main campus on Skvarla Avenue and in several TRUSD schools in the community. There are morning, afternoon and evening ESL classes at six levels–from beginning to advanced. Some classes have students at one level and other classes have students at several different levels in the same class. New students take a test to find out what level is best for them.
